Aquarium of the Pacific
Step into a world of discovery, exploration and wonder at the Aquarium of the Pacific! With more than 12,500 inhabitants of the planetโs largest ocean all in one place, itโs no wonder thereโs so much to see, touch and experience. The Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the largest aquariums in the United States. Its nearly 1,000 species fill 19 major habitats and 32 focus exhibits and take visitors on a journey throughout the Pacific Oceanโs three regions: Southern California/Baja, the Tropical Pacific and the Northern Pacific.
Many interactive exhibits put you in touch with the wild wonder of the Aquariumโs inhabitants. Discovery Labs throughout the Aquarium allow you to touch a sea star or gently rub an urchin. The Aquarium also holds informative Discovery Presentations
and feedings at major exhibits throughout the day. Get closer than you ever imagined to the oceanโs top predator and most misunderstood species with the ultimate interactive exhibit โ Shark Lagoon! Touch and interact with more than 150 sharks and witness the underwater world of larger sharks, including zebra, sand tiger and whitetip reef sharks.

African Americal Festival:ย February 22 and 23
The Aquarium of the Pacific will host its twenty-second annual African-American Festival, which features music, dance, storytelling, and historical displays.
Getting there . . . from Los Angeles, take the 405 Freeway south to the 710 Freeway south, follow signs to downtown Long Beach and the Aquarium exit. The Aquarium exit will lead directly to the parking lot.
Aquarium of the Pacific will be closed on the following day: December 25, 2025 (Christmas Day)
